Salvation Army Bell Ringing
We are pleased to partner with our friends at the Salvation Army to assist them with their Kettle Bell Ringing campaign this Christmas season. This is their largest fundraiser of the year and allows them to provide many vital services in our local area.
This year we will be ringing the bell at Sam’s Club on Saturday, December 21 from 10am until 8pm.
Please sign up for the 1 hour (or more!) time slot that you would like to serve. You are welcome to serve alone, or bring along a family member or friend!
Christmas Dinner Food Boxes
The North Terrace Food Pantry would like to provide Christmas Dinner boxes for North Terrace families in need this Christmas season. All boxes will contain a turkey or ham and everything else that you need to make your Christmas dinner complete!
Please sign up with the number of adults and children in your household.
Boxes will be available for pick up on Sunday, December 22 during our morning services.
Ladies Bible Study - Esther
Ladies, join us for a new Bible study starting on Wednesday, January 8 at 6 PM! The study will dive into the daring faith Esther and Mordecai, modeled through extraordinary circumstances, that God used to change the world. You can order the book at your preferred retailer and each book comes with access to the videos through Lifeway on Demand to view at home if you miss a week.
High School Retreat at Round Lake
We are taking our High Schoolers on a retreat at Round Lake Christian Camp, January 17 - 19.
We will leave at 5:30 PM on the 17th and return at Noon on the 19th!
Important: You will need to register on Round Lake's website here: https://roundlake.org/event/high-school-retreat and then also sign up through this registration so that we can also keep an accurate total.

NT Students - Winter Jam Concert
Middle and High School Students, Winter Jam is back! Don’t miss the chance to catch Skillet, Anne Wilson, Colton Dixon, KB, Newsong, Micah Tyler, speaker Zane Black and more on one stage.
Tickets are $15 at the door. The concert will be at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. We will provide transportation.

NT Students - OSU Hockey Game (vs Michigan)
Middle and High School Students, join us for an OSU Hockey game against Michigan on February 28, from 4-10 PM.
Make sure to sign up by January 12 so we can purchase tickets.
Cost is $20.

Fostering Hope Christmas Cookies
Our Fostering Hope Ministry exists to support foster and kinship families in our community. This year, the Muskingum County Adult & Child Protective Services is having a Christmas party for foster families on Saturday, December 7.
At the party, the children enjoy decorating their own sugar cookies and each family receives some cookies to take home and enjoy.
We need 20 dozen non-iced sugar cookies to be decorated by the children. Additionally we would like 120 dozen cookies for the families to take home - these can be homemade or store bought - and preferably packaged in disposable packaging.
Sign up by Wednesday, December 4 with how many dozen cookies you plan to donate. Please deliver the cookies to North Terrace on Thursday, December 5 by 6pm or Friday, December 6 by Noon.

Attend Fostering Hope Respite Night
Being a foster or kinship parent can be beautiful and rewarding - it can also be very demanding! We want to offer foster and kinship parents in Muskingum County the opportunity to have a well deserved break!
On Saturday, November 2, 2024 our Fostering Hope ministry is hosting a Respite Night, so that parents and guardians can enjoy a much needed evening to themselves, while their kids have fun in a safe environment.
Programming will be provided for infants through 6th grade. All children from your family within those age groups are eligible to attend. The event is FREE!
Check-in for the event will begin at 3pm and programming will begin at 3:30pm. Pick-ups can begin at 6:30pm to be completed by 7:15pm.
Volunteer for Fostering Hope Respite Night
Our Fostering Hope ministry is excited to host our sixth Respite Night for foster and kinship families in Zanesville and Muskingum County!
Respite Night will be on Saturday, November 2 from 3pm until 7pm for children ages infant through 6th Grade.
We will need volunteers to serve in the nursery with babies, in our preschool wing with preschoolers and with our elementary age kids.
This will be an evening of fun for the children as well as a much needed break for the faithful foster & kinship parents of our community.
Colombia Mission Trip Informational Meeting
In 2015, we were able to help plant a Compassion Child Development Center and Church in Colombia. Many of you sponsor kids at the child development center as well. We are excited to finally be able to take another mission trip down to Colombia and Casa Mayor, May 4-9, 2025. If you are interested in learning more or going on the trip, please join us for an informational meeting following both first and second service on Sunday, October 27.

NT Serves at West M
At North Terrace we believe in the value of “One More Family Strengthened”. On September 27 we have the opportunity to live out this value by serving in the concession stand at the West Muskingum Football game. Our service in the concession stand allows parents the opportunity to watch their children participate in football, band and cheer that evening.
There are 2 shifts available: 5pm to 8pm and 8pm through the end of the game (includes clean up).
Volunteers do not need to pay to get into the game and West Muskingum will have a couple of their regular concession workers there to guide us.

Promotion Sunday
Parents, Sunday, August 11 will be our Promotion Sunday! That means your graduated Preschooler will move to the Kindergarten class, Kindergarten to First grade, 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, and 4th to 5th. Graduated 5th graders will join NT Students and be able to go to the Middle School class on Sundays during second service. It's time to move up!
Burst Groups 2024
Burst Groups are sermon based small groups meeting every Tuesday night from 6pm-8pm starting August 6th and ending September 3rd. Children's Ministry is provided, and all are welcome! If you have more questions, please email Luke Nash at luke.nash@ntcoc.org.
Lace Up For Kids
Eastside Community Ministry is once again hosting their "Lace Up for Kids" campaign, along with the support of local businesses, to help ensure that local students in need can start the school year in a new pair of tennis shoes. Students also receive a brand new outfit and the opportunity for a free haircut, among other things.
North Terrace is excited to partner with ECM by providing volunteers on Tuesday, August 6. Shifts are from 9AM to Noon, 1PM to 3PM or 3PM to 5PM.
The event will take place at Secrest Auditorium. Volunteers will work in pairs and must be out of high school. Volunteers will help students find and try on shoes and have the opportunity to connect with these students and their families!

Riverwood Mission Trip - August 22-25
We will be taking a team to serve at Riverwood Christian Community in Tennessee from August 22-25, 2024. Riverwood is a Christian home for adults with different abilities. It is an incredible ministry but needs support from churches to clean, paint and work on sections of the grounds and buildings. People who go on the trip will get to spend time and build relationships with the amazing residents and help on projects around the home. Cost is $300 per person. Sign ups close on August 4 and we need just two more people for the trip! Beth Newland is leading this trip..
Celebrate Recovery Launch
Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. We all have hurts and if we don’t walk through them authentically with Jesus, we can get hung-up and pursue destructive habits. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to work through them. This Jesus-centered 12 step program is open to anyone looking for freedom.
Join us for Celebrate Recovery, starting on Monday, July 22, 2024. Celebrate Recovery will meet weekly on Mondays. There will be fellowship, drinks, and desserts starting at 5:30 PM. Our Large Group Time will start at 6:30 PM, followed by Open Share Groups at 7:30 PM. Childcare will be available.
Volunteer for NT Kids Summer Day Camp
Thank you for your interest in serving at our 2024 NT Kids Summer Day Camp! This year our theme is “Scuba: Diving into Friendship with God”.
Volunteers are needed to serve in a variety of areas. Whether you can serve all day, everyday - or for just a couple of hours - there is an opportunity for you!

NT Kids Summer Day Camp is an opportunity for your graduated kindergartener to graduated 5th grader to experience camp in a new way.
This year’s theme is “Scuba” and we’ll be diving into friendship with God! Each day will look a little different and have different activities that your child will get to participate in. This is a great way for your child to learn alongside their peers as they travel through different stations with other kids their age!
Day Camp is July 15 - 19 from 9 AM to 3:30PM. Deadline to register is Sunday, July 7, 2024.
Cost is $50 per camper - register before May 31 for our Early Bird discount of just $40 per camper!

NT Students Kayak Trip
Students, join us for a "Faith on the Water" Kayak trip with Pea Ohana. We will kayak through the lock system of the Muskingum River as we learn about the history of the lock system and will be led by a guide in a faith-based experience. The Trip is on July 12, at 10 AM. Meet at Pea Ohana. Cost is $20. Sign-up deadline is June 12.
NT Students Trip to Hocking Hills
Students, join us for a hiking trip to Hocking Hills where we will hike several of the main trails there. We will leave church at 8 AM on July 9 and return around 6 PM. The trip is free but students will need to bring lunch, snacks and water with them. Sign up by June 25.
Church Picnic
Join us for a church picnic on Sunday, June 30 from 5-7 PM! We will grill hotdogs and provide drinks. Anyone with the last name beginning with the letters A-M should bring a side dish and N-Z should bring a dessert to share. Bring any Yard Games you would like to play, like Corn Hole, and Lawn Chairs to sit in.
New Horizon Senior Adult Retreat
Join us on Tuesday, June 18 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM for New Horizon Senior Adult Retreat. This year's theme is Finish Strong. Cost is $35 per person. This includes Breakfast and Lunch.
Taste and See
Save the date! We will be hosting another Taste and See event this summer to learn more about different non profit organizations and missions here in our community and around the world while enjoying tasty food and drinks from local food trucks. This year, Taste and See will be on Sunday, June 9 from 5-8 PM and we already have a bunch of amazing organizations who will be there. NT Students Trip to Cedar Point
The June 5 has been canceled due to the forecasted inclement weather - please stay tuned for a new date!!
Students, join us for a trip to Cedar Point! We will be riding rides and hanging out on Wednesday, June 5! We will leave from the church at 7 AM and arrive back around 11 PM. Sign up below for planning purposes. You will still need to purchase your own ticket and any add-ons online ahead of time here. Tickets are $59.99. Sign up by May 26.
Food Pantry Volunteer Opportunity - Stamp Out Hunger Day
Saturday, May 11, is Stamp Out Hunger Day. People around the state will donate food to food pantries by leaving them at their mail box. Their postal worker will bring the food to a facility for sorting. We need your help unloading, sorting, and transporting the food gathered here in Muskingum County. Food will be collected at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds, unloaded and sorted, and then a portion of it will be brought back to our Food Pantry.
If you can help, pick one or more of the time slots and join us at the Fairgrounds:

New Chair Set Up
On Friday, March 22, at 8 am, we will be getting our new chairs. We need volunteers to help unload the chairs off the truck, set the chairs up in the worship center, and fill the seat pockets with prayer cards, giving envelopes, and pens. If you think you can help with that please sign up!
